Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri

LFCS was started in 1868, in the wake of the Civil War, as a promise to a wounded soldier to take care of his surviving son. Today, LFCS is a statewide organization providing services annually, touching the lives of more than 22,000 individuals in need. Our services include adoption, foster care, parenting education/support, counseling, disaster response, emergency assistance, senior counseling, school-based counseling, youth mentoring/life-skills training, daycare and more. In addition, LFCS advocates for Missouri's vulnerable families and works to improve government policies that affect children and families.
