Lutheran Family and Children’s Services (LFCS) serves Missouri families from all walks of life in their greatest times of need. As a nonprofit social services organization, we provide five key areas of support to help children and families overcome challenges—Adoption, Foster Care, Behavioral Health, Parenting and Child Development. The programs offered through each of these areas empower individuals and families to develop healthy, supportive foundations for a lifetime.
Our Mission: Through Christ’s love, we empower children and families to overcome challenges today so they can build a better tomorrow.
Our Vision: Generations of children and families across Missouri are safer and stronger together.

We offer individual, family, and group counseling sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our trained professionals are here to help you through various life challenges, including mental health issues, family dynamics, and personal growth.
The adoption process through LFCS involves several steps, starting with an initial consultation to discuss your interest and eligibility. Following this, you will undergo a home study, which includes background checks and interviews to ensure a safe environment for the child. Once approved, you will be matched with a child based on your preferences and the child's needs. Our team will support you throughout the entire process to ensure a smooth transition.
LFCS offers parenting services to families from all backgrounds, and there are generally no strict eligibility requirements. Our goal is to equip children and their families with the tools they need to thrive.
