At Lufa Farms, our vision is a city of rooftop farms, growing food where people live and growing it more sustainably. In 2011, we opened the world’s first commercial rooftop greenhouse right in Montreal, setting the groundwork for a more ecological and economical model for urban farming. We also partner with hundreds of local farmers and food-makers who offer thousands of fresh, local, and responsible produce and goodies on our online Marketplace. It’s all delivered just a few steps away from your home in one of 500 pick-up points. And we’re just getting started. Lufa Farms currently has three urban rooftop greenhouses, all in the Montreal area (Anjou, Ahuntsic, and Laval). That rounds out to 138,000 square feet of growing space where we farm veggies to feed over 15,000 families a week. We’ve also recently opened a second distribution centre in Ville Saint-Laurent.
