Description
Information
Since 1860 Louisville Water Company has provided safe, high-quality drinking water. Today, we serve more than 850,000 thirsty customers in three counties. Louisville Water is known for great tasting water; it was the first water utility to “brand” its water, Louisville pure tap®. In 2013, Louisville pure tap® was named the “People’s Choice for Best Tasting Tap Water in North America” by the American Water Works Association. It’s the second time in five years for the national recognition. Pumping more than 121 million gallons of water a day from the Ohio River requires a lot of work and delivering it to your faucet takes a lot of work. Luckily for the area, Louisville Water's two water treatment plants are more then prepared - they are designated two of 14 treatments plants in the nation. Combine that with the more than 200 tests a day our water quality scientists perform and it's no wonder people miss our great tasting water when they're gone.
