LINK Community Transport is a charitable organisation that supports the aging population, people of all abilities and their carers but providing life enriching services and offering effective, accessible and flexible social and home support. LINK has been a trusted community services provider for almost 40 years and has helped thousands of Melbournians live a better life and remain independent. LINK has recently added some new services and our full offering now includes: COMMUNITY TRANSPORT LINK’s transport services help people experiencing transport difficulties get out and about and remain connected to their loved ones and their community. We transport people to a range of destinations including: social/cultural clubs, shopping, health appointments and friends and family visits to name a few. Trips start from $5. ASSISTED SHOPPING PROGRAM LINK assists the customer every step of the way, including door to door transport, help while shopping, at the checkout and loading/offloading the groceries. Currently the program is available on fortnightly basis and only costs $10. DOMESTIC ASSISTANCE PROGRAM LINK’s offers home help for the elderly in the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne. It includes household tasks such as cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, window washing and laundry and helps people stay at home and remain independent. Prices start from A$8.50 per hour and bookings are in 2-hour blocks. SENIOR’S SOCIAL OUTINGS PROGRAM LINK’s social outings program is a wonderful way to get out and about, meet new friends and enjoy different outings at an affordable price. We offer outings for every taste including: • Shopping at large centres, markets and small antique shops • Shows and performances for the art lovers • Historical estates for those wanting to take a step back in time • Cafes and restaurants for the foodies • Parks and reserves for the nature lovers • Big coach trips to tourist destinations such as Sky High and Daylesford.
