AB „Lietuvos geležinkeliai“ – didžiausia Lietuvos transporto sektoriaus įmonė, Lietuvos Respublikos viešosios geležinkelių infrastruktūros valdytoja. Bendrovė teikia įvairias logistines ir kitas su krovinių ir keleivių vežimu susijusias paslaugas Lietuvos teritorijoje ir už jos ribų. Bendras Lietuvos geležinkelių tinklo ilgis yra 1877,2 km. Šalyje yra 105 geležinkelio stotys, 544 pervažos, 385 viadukai ir tiltai. 2015 m. geležinkeliais Lietuvos teritorijoje pervežta 48 mln. t. krovinių. Tai sudaro pusę visų šalies teritorija vežamų krovinių. Svarbi bendrovės teikiama socialinė paslauga – keleivių vežimas. AB „Lietuvos geležinkeliai“ 2015 m. vežė 4,2 mln. keleivių. Vietiniais traukiniais vežta 3,4 mln. keleivių, tarptautiniais – 0,8 mln. keleivių.
