Since 1990, principals of Lexington Partners have organized 20 secondary funds and 10 co-investment pools with total capital of $55 billion. Our investors include more than 1,000 leading public and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and family offices from more than 40 countries.
Lexington Partners pioneered the development of the institutional secondary market 31 years ago and created one of the first independent, discretionary co-investment programs 23 years ago. Today, Lexington has acquired over 3,200 secondary interests through more than 590 secondary transactions with a total value in excess of $58 billion, including $16 billion of syndicated transactions. Invested $7.3 billion in over 430 co-investments alongside more than 170 sponsors and committed more than $2.6 billion to over 500 primary funds.
