Lecta is one of the leading manufacturers of specialty paper for labels and flexible packaging, pressure-sensitive materials and paper for publishing and commercial printing in Europe, with a production capacity of nearly 2 million tons. It is the market leader in Southern Europe. The group's origins date back to the acquisition of three companies with a long tradition in their home markets: Cartiere del Garda in Italy, Condat in France, and Torraspapel in Spain. Lecta is a private company controlled by CVC Capital Partners, a leading European private equity investor. Lecta is also active in the distribution business with its own merchants operating under the Torraspapel name in France, Spain and Portugal, and under the Polyedra name in Italy. Lecta is a multinational group with some 3,300 employees. From its creation until today, it has invested more than 900 million euros primarily in upgrading and increasing the competitiveness of its manufacturing sites, improving its environmental performance and strengthening its market position.
