Since the beginning, Kurtz has been focused on building custom-designed EMS and staffing programs for municipalities, fire protection districts, industrial sites, and hospitals. Our ability to synthesize our customers' needs with Kurtz's expertise into a unique, goal-driven program was the foundation, and is the fuel, for our growth. Kurtz EMS is comprised of Kurtz Ambulance Service, Inc., Kurtz Paramedic Service, Inc., and Kurtz Industrial Fire Services, Inc., which are centered on providing exceptional emergency medical services, contract firefighting staff, ambulance service, and industrial fire safety/EMS staff. Today, Kurtz employs over 500 people across several states, but we still maintain strong roots as a family owned and operated business, originally founded by Karl Kurtz with one ambulance. Our successes include 24 fire department staffing sites, 7 industrial staffing sites, over 50 private ambulance vehicles, and operation of 5 hospital based ambulance services.
