One of the two largest groups of Hayat Holding operating on a global scale, our corporation was established in 1969 in Istanbul for manufacturing in the wood-based panel industry. Our 100% domestic capital corporation started manufacturing in 1971 in our very first facility, Kastamonu Particle Board Plant. Currently, we manufacture goods in 6 domestic locations; Kastamonu, Gebze, Balikesir, Samsun, Tarsus and Adana. We have manufacturing plants in a total of 6 countries; Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia and Italy. In the US, we have an establishment where we manage wood chip supply and logistics processes. We employ roughly 6,300 people in our domestic and overseas manufacturing plants and offices. Our plants based in 6 countries have a total manufacturing capacity of 5.5 million m³ of wood-based panels per year - 2.5 million m³ of MDF and 3 million m³ of particleboards - and 70 million m² of laminate flooring per year. These figures make us the seventh largest manufacturer in the world and the fourth largest in Europe. From a product-oriented perspective that encompasses MDFs, particleboards, laminate flooring and door panels, we are one of the top 4 manufacturers in the world. We have a 6% market share in the global laminate flooring manufacturing. And in Turkey, we have a market share ranging from 25% to 30% for all our products.
