KANDU Industries is a 501(c)(3) organization that creates, promotes, and provides diverse opportunities offering people with disabilities or disadvantages the ability to explore their limitless potential. In 1961, a small group of parents and supportive community leaders met to find ways to meet the employment needs of their sons and daughters with disabilities. For more than 60 years KANDU has served the Rock County community by providing work, social, and daily activities for KANDU “clients” (persons with disabilities and disadvantages), enabling clients to enjoy the dignity of being productive citizens who can exercise their rights and achieve greater independence. KANDU provides high-volume packaging, assembly, and other industrial services to outside companies supplying them with top-quality production, quick turnaround times, and competitively priced custom services. Additionally, KANDU Catering & Rentals supplies the Stateline region with premier catering and rental services. KANDU’s many on and off-site programs and commercial operations all aim at serving people with disabilities and disadvantages. Today, KANDU impacts the lives of over 200 clients ranging from 16-80 years old from all parts of Rock County by providing enriching opportunities, employment skills training and services, and custodial and memory care services for adults. Located in Janesville, Wisconsin, near the Wisconsin-Illinois border, KANDU Industries, Inc. is convenient to Chicago – O’Hare and Milwaukee – Mitchell airports, and Interstate highways I-90/94, I-39, and I-80.
