JSW Energy is the dynamic vertical of JSW Group. The company foray in areas of Power Generation, Transmission,Trading and Mining. In less than a decade of its operations, the Company has operational capacity of 2870 MW and a generating capacity of 780 MW in the construction and implementation phase in the States of Karnataka, Maharastra, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. Aiming to generate 11770 MW, JSW Energy is treading to become one of the leading private power producers in the country. Each project is planned to be strategically located either near an available fuel source, load center or infrastructure facilities. The Company has successfully established itself in Transmission business in joint venture with Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company limited (MSETCL) with a fully operational 110 Kms Quad Double Circuit 400 KVA Transmission line from Jaigad to New Koyna and Karad. The Company has established entry into Equipment Manufacturing by commencing construction facility for Supercritical Steam Turbine Generator sets near Ennore, Chennai in joint venture with Toshiba Corporation, Japan. The Company’s quality and environmental management systems are certified to be in compliance under ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001: 2004 and ISO 18001: 2007. The SBU#1(2 x 130MW) at Vijayanagar made the Company proud by winning “Meritorious Productivity Award” from CEA, Govt. of India consecutively for 3 years for its’ excellence in operational performance parameters.
