ISWA is a leading and long established independent social work agency working with children and families. We operate across the UK through a diverse team of around 80 qualified independent social workers, all of whom have a minimum of five years post-qualifying experience; 20 years on average. Our core business is:- Fostering Services –. An ‘End to End’ Recruitment, Training and Assessment Fostering Service; Assessments of mainstream Foster Carers, Connected Persons, SGO applicants and Foster Carer Reviews. Adoption Services - Prospective Adopters’ Reports. Parenting Risk Assessments – Related to parents presenting with a range of difficulties including violence, sexual abuse, drug misuse and learning disability. Family Group Conferencing - For a range of purposes from parental support to identifying the most suitable connected person carer. Training, Mentoring and Consultancy - Training and mentoring of social workers related to a range of skills, and foster carer training including Skills to Foster. Additionally, we offer consultancy related to service improvement.
