(ISC)2 National Capital Region Chapter

(ISC)2 National Capital Region (NCR) Chapter is a non-profit chapter of (ISC)2 – a global leader in educating and certifying information security professionals. As a charter member, the (ISC)2 NCR Chapter has access to current and relevant industry information, networking opportunities, discounts and valuable career tools.The (ISC)² mission is to advance information security in local communities throughout the world by providing our members and other security professionals with the opportunity to share knowledge, grow professionally, educate others, and collaborate on projects. The purpose of our National Capital Region chapter is therefore straightforward: anyone with an interest in IT/Cyber security is welcome to join. Members are asked to abide by the (ISC)² code of Ethics and the National Capital Region Chapter By-Laws and not have a criminal record. Membership on the Board of Directors requires a certification with (ISC)².The (ISC)2 NCR Chapter is committed to advancing the goals and objectives of (ISC)2. We are dedicated to expanding the population of certified information security practitioners and advocating for the information security practitioners in, and around, our nation’s capital. We primarily do this by scheduling engaging, security-focused presentations that allow eligible (ISC)2 members to earn credits to maintain their (ISC)2 certifications.
