Located in the heart of North East England, South Tyneside is a vibrant location to start up and grow a business. A buzzing community of entrepreneurs taking inspiration from the success of global businesses including Barbour, BT and Siemens by day; and watching the sunset from the coastal promenade by night. Invest South Tyneside is the sector development and business investment team within South Tyneside Council, working to raise the profile of the borough to businesses and investors. We are open for business. As a team we work with businesses locating to, or already within South Tyneside, supporting them to achieve growth, create jobs and develop the skills of existing workforces. The assets we have here, and the skills of the local workforce provide a strong offer for businesses operating in some key sectors (Advanced Manufacturing, ICT & Digital, Business Services) however we work across all industries supporting businesses to start up and relocate here. Our remit includes supporting businesses already trading from within our borough to further invest and expand their operations and workforce.
