About 異能(Inno)vation

The 異能 (Inno) vation Program has been designed to generate breakthrough, global-scale, new value for the ICT field. To do this, it provides support to people who are prepared to pursue potential-rich issues in the field of IT research and development—in other words, to take on challenges that are out-of-this-world and ambitious. The Program aims to support people who we are calling “hen” —a Japanese word that means odd, weird or crazy. In other words, weirdos; people who, through creative thinking unfettered by conventional wisdom, are able to devise unusual actions and, offbeat ideas – to take on the challenge of creating one from zero, something from nothing. The hope is that creating a platform for these audacious thinkers to interact will spark ever more inventive ideas.
