Independent Group (UK) Ltd is a market leading provider of claims validation, management and fulfilment services on behalf of the UK’s leading insurance companies. Customers include Direct Line, Norwich Union, Legal & General and Zurich Financial Services.

Chem-Dry, a disaster restoration company for escape of water damage, accidental damage, fire and flood was acquired by Ansa/Independent Inspections in January 2011.

In June 2009 LDC backed the MBO of ANSA Holdings Limited (“Ansa”) and Independent Inspections Holdings Limited (“Independent”) from listed parent company Mavinwood plc in a transaction worth up to £19.55million.

In January 2011 Ansa completed the acquisition of Chem-Dry from Evander Group. Chem-Dry is one of the largest disaster recovery restoration companies in the UK and one of the most recognised brands in the sector.

This was followed up in September 2011 when the 'The Independent Group' launched their new Group logo on the Marussia Virgin Racing F1 race car at the 2011 Monza Grand Prix.

The Independent Group is now primed to move into the next stage of its commercial development.

The Independent Group now forms the headline company for the recently integrated Ansa Group, Independent Inspections Ltd., Home & Comforts and Chem-Dry companies, all centrally located in Preston, Lancashire.
