The foundations of the Group were laid in 1970 with the establishment of Türkiye Newspaper by Dr. Enver Ören and currently runs extensive operations across the country with its 24 companies in a wide range of industries including construction, real estate operations, media, communications, manufacturing, trade, education and healthcare. İhlas Group is now among the most prominent and leading conglomerates in Turkey. İhlas Holding is publicly traded in BIST since 1994 along with 4 other corporations that are publicly held. After nearly 20 years of journalism experience, Ihlas Group began to build housing projects by constructing in 1989 and today the total number of completed and ongoing units is over 22,000 units. Between 1990 and 1991 Ihlas Group established Ihlas Home Appliance factory and within the same year established Türkiye Newspaper Hospital to take a step into the Health Services Sector. After breaking circulation records in the 1990s, In order to expand its successful track record gained in news reporting to other media outlets, the Group established İhlas News Agency, TGRT FM radio, and the TGRT TV in 1993. During the same year İhlas Group gathered its subsidiaries under one roof as a Holding company in order to ensure strong growth. By building the Kuzuluk Thermal Resort, İhlas began timeshare resort operations in 1995. During that time, İhlas Group also ventured into other industries including Internet services, finance, food and logistics. Considering investments in education a corporate social responsibility, the Group founded İhlas Educational Institutions in 1996. In 2004 Armutlu Thermal Resort was opened, being Turkey’s largest thermal timeshare resort. Also in 2004 TGRT Media Group has expanded when TGRT News channel began broadcast, which was followed by TGRT Documentary in 2011. The Group continues its construction investments with Kristal Şehir, Bizim Evler and Armutlu Panaroma housing projects, and continues it’s growth.
