IEEE SIGHT

The IEEE Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT) is an IEEE program instituted by the IEEE Humanitarian Activities Committee (HAC). IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization for the advancement of technology. SIGHT functions as an HAC subcommittee, and the two Committees operate in tandem to encourage humanitarian technology events. SIGHT is a global network of individuals - IEEE members and volunteers in addition to non-IEEE participants, who address the challenges they identify around them by applying their technical engineering skills and partnering with their local communities.Currently, there are 6,900+ members, and 115+ SIGHT groups organized in a variety of IEEE organizational units around the world. IEEE SIGHT serves as a catalyst to effect long-lasting change and a platform to share knowledge, learn new ideas, grow as a professional, and meet others who share your same commitment to apply technology for the benefit of humanity.
