The International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists ( IACIS) was founded in 1990 and for over 30 years has served the computer forensics community with relevant state-of-the-art training and emerged as a leader in professional digital forensics education. 2013 ushered in a new era for IACIS, as IACIS opened its members to those outside the Law Enforcement community.IACIS is a non-profit, volunteer organization wholly dedicated to training, certifying and providing membership services to computer forensic professionals around the world. The highly coveted IACIS Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) Certification is the only computer forensic certification recognized by the FSAB (Forensic Services Accreditation Board). The certifications shows proficiency in the entire digital forensic process and is a mandatory Certification for retention in many computer forensic units. The IACIS Basic Computer Forensic Examiner (BCFE) training course uniquely prepares students for the rigors of the certification program.IACIS has grown into an internationally acclaimed professional computer forensic training and certifying organisation. One of IACIS’ greatest strengths is its membership base, consisting not only of federal, state, and local law enforcement professionals but including professional computer forensic practitioners located in more than 60 countries around the world.Since 2007 IACIS has been contracted to provide computer forensic training and certification to staff from European Law Enforcement agencies on training courses organised and funded by the European Anti- Fraud Office (OLAF). To meet the constantly changing needs of the computer forensic community IACIS provide a range of Advanced and Specialist computer forensics course and certifications, including Cell phone and Small Device Forensics, Network Forensics, Internet Forensic Investigations, Applied Computer Forensics Forensic and Windows Forensic Examiner.
