At Human Solutions, our vision is of a vibrant, prosperous and healthy Mid and East Multnomah County—free of homelessness and poverty. Since 1988, Human Solutions has developed a wide range of effective programs to assist families and individuals to find successful pathways out of poverty and homelessness toward self-sufficiency. Human Solutions helps families and individuals gain prosperity which in turn helps our greater community to thrive. Recognizing that having a home is a basic need, Human Solutions is committed to helping families overcome poverty and avoid being homeless. The demand for Human Solutions’ services has increased dramatically as hundreds of low-income and homeless families relocate to our service area: East of 82nd Street to the Hood River County Line and from the Columbia River south to the Clackamas County Line. Many of these families struggle to make ends meet each month and are often fearful of losing their homes or losing their health, especially if they have already lost a job. Awareness is the first step toward making a difference.
