HK&HDCA covers north-western Sydney and is one of the largest cricket associations world-wide, comprising 19 clubs; 4,000+ junior, senior and representative players; plus 3 affiliated associations - umpires, coaches & BlowFly cricket (children with special needs). The association has a rich history dating back to 1926-27 with 52 Life Members.

HK&HDCA caters for players of all ages ranging from 5 year olds in the modified junior cricket programs, right through to men in their 60's playing in the Sydney Classics (Over 50's) competition. We have over 500 boys and girls aged 5 - 7 in the In2Cricket / Kanga programs run by the clubs, which lead into the U/8 - U/16 junior competitions. In seniors we have 10 grades from A Grade (on turf) through to D2 Grade, T20 and a Sunday competition. West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook CC are the current A Grade champions.

HK&HDCA has a strong rep. cricket program from U/10 to U/16 in Juniors, as well as successful senior rep. teams. In 2012/13 & 2013/14, HK&HDCA won the prestigious NSWDCA Shell Shield for being the most successful Association (out of 20) in junior rep. cricket covering the main population centres in NSW (Sydney metropolitan area, Newcastle, Central Coast, Illawarra and ACT).

We have a well respected Umpires' Association that is affiliated with NSWCUSA and comprises nearly 20 regular umpires who officiate in the local A Grade and Kookaburra Cup (A Res. Grade) competitions and all rep. matches on Sundays.

One of the highlights is our expanding Coaches' Association, which has recorded some fantastic achievements since its inception in 2010. HKHDCCA has significantly enhanced the development of junior players and coaches through its successful school holiday clinics and off-season coaching programs. We have 11 active Level 2 accredited coaches.

Our association is supported by generous sponsors (Triforce Sports; Kookaburra Sport; and Hornsby RSL Club). Planning is in full swing for the 2015/16 season.
