Horan & Bird are the pioneers of solar in Australia. Our founder John Horan was one of the original importers of solar panels into the country. As a true entrepreneur, John had to sell his house to buy his first container of solar panels. Years later the company now has helped 30,000 customers nationwide and John is now the president of Master Electricians Australia. Horan & Bird are five-time winners of Master Electricians of the Year and five-time winners of Solar installers of the Year. The company were proud winners of Australian Small Business of the Year in 2012, and later, won 2014 Regional Employer of the Year. In 2015, Horan & Bird was featured in the Australian Financial Review as a finalist in the BRW Mid Cap Company Of The Year. At the end of a very successful year, Origin Energy acquired Horan & Bird. In 2016, we became the largest commercial solar company in Australia with customers such as Kia, Audi, Subway, Harley Davidson, Reece, Woolworth's, and many more. In 2019, were are very proud to announce John Horan our founder became the President of Master Electrician Australia. Our obligation is to Australia, not just our customers. Making solar safe and affordable is our passion. John is now sharing his experience with the nation. In 2020, Horan & Bird left the Origin Group and merged with the Leading Renewable Energy Fund, Juice Capital led by Jay Howard and Justin Davis-Rice. In late 2021, Horan & Bird have decided to get back into dominating the residential market with a youthful direct sales and sales operations team driven by tech led by Head Of Sales, Bruce Wright. Bruce's and his team of National Sales Executives, Amit Shuvali, Erlind Kurti, and Alex Duncan is focused on building a direct sales team throughout the country. Supported by our Sales Operations Manager, Dan Eldridge who is integrating technology to automate the process to focus on speed and quality service for our customers.
