Heriot-Watt University Graduate Apprenticeships

The Heriot-Watt Graduate Apprenticeship programmes will partner with industry to combine workplace training and skill sets with academic knowledge. Developing flexible entry points mean that traditional qualifications or work-based experience can be used to secure places and work-based learning means employers benefit almost immediately from the skills being developed by their team. This will provide opportunities for employers to identify and address skills shortages in their respective industries, while providing employees with additional knowledge and skills sets to continue developing the workplace environment. There are seven programmes which include; Civil Engineering, Construction & Built Environment, Engineering Design & Manufacture; IT Management for Business; IT Software Development, Business Management and Business Management: Financial Services. Applications are currently being accepted from businesses interested in creating Graduate Apprenticeship positions, with entry open to new and existing employees and at no cost to the business. The programmes will help future proof businesses by developing skilled workforces in key areas including business management, software and engineering.
