Health Management Solutions is an Ohio Managed Care Organization certified to medically manage workers’ compensation claims in all 88 counties. Our number one goal is to return injured employees to work as quickly and safely as possible. HMS is a provider owned MCO with access to the resources and expertise of an integrated healthcare system. Employers have a single point of contact and direct access to a team of highly trained professionals led by an experienced nurse case manager.Over 20,000 Ohio employers trust Health Management Solutions to medically manage their claims. All employers enrolled in the Ohio State Fund workers' compensation system are required to choose a Managed Care Organization (MCO) to medically manage their organization's work related injuries. New employers can select Health Management Solutions as their MCO within 30 days of enrollment into the State Fund workers' compensation system. Existing employers in the state of Ohio may only change their MCO during an open enrollment period that occurs once every two years.
