Hanergy Holding America is charged with developing, owning, and operating solar photovoltaic power plants in North and South America.
To accomplish that goal, Hanergy Holding America is currently acquiring, financing, and constructing late stage PV power projects between 1 and 20 MWs in North America. After 2012, Hanergy Holding America intends to broaden its geographic reach and increase its scale by developing optimally-sized solar power plants throughout the Americas. These power plants will enable Hanergy to generate cost-effective power through the use of Hanergy’s own high-quality, thin-film photovoltaic panels.
Hanergy Holding America intends to be a good neighbor and a responsible corporate citizen. It will own and operate all of its power plants in a manner that conforms to local stakeholders’ expectations, while yielding the maximum financial benefits to the corporation within that context. Besides generating, clean, cost-efficient electricity for local communities, Hanergy aims to use qualified local labor and materials in the construction and operation of its power plants whenever feasible and to engage the local community whenever relevant.
Hanergy Holding America recognizes that local land can be used in a variety of ways, and that its power plants will only be temporary fixtures. Therefore, it is committed to developing its power plants on previously developed land and minimizing evidence of its power-plants’ existence after they are decommissioned.
