Halton Hills Hydro provides distribution excellence to approx. 23,000 customers in the Town of Halton Hills. Halton Hills Hydro is a local distribution company licensed by the Ontario Energy Board.

Halton Hills Hydro has a history of innovation and leadership in the industry and community. In 1997, the utility received an Innovation Award from the MEA (now the EDA) for being one of the first utilities 'online'. In 2000, we received an MEA Environmental Excellence Award for a project in cooperation with the Grade 5 class from the neighbouring school to restore and naturalize a creek on the utility's property. In 2009, Halton Hills Hydro celebrated the significant safety milestone of 500,000 hours with no loss time. In 2010 the utility became one of the first 10 utilities in the province to fully implement their smart metering system and by the end of 2011, over 20% of our customers were taking advantage of the AccountOnline tool on the utility's website which allows customers to see their own detailed energy use and costs.

Halton Hills Hydro is a subsidiary of Halton Hills Community Energy Inc. a company owned by the Town of Halton Hills.
