Beijing Global Safety Technology Co., Ltd was established in 2005 as the only research spin-off of the Institute of Public Safety Research (IPSR), Tsinghua University. After a decade of careful cultivation by IPSR, GSAFETY has become the leading enterprise and China’s first listed company in the public safety and emergency management industry (Shenzhen GEM, 300523).GSAFETY is part of the Tsinghua Holdings. As subsidiary of the university, it serves as innovation platform of technology transfer of research to business. In 2018, the company ranked No. 137 in China's Top 500 enterprises by revenue and No. 3 by R&D efforts.In December 2018, Tsinghua University launched its first center in Latin America, based in Santiago, Chile, with the support from the Luksic Foundation.
