Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company (GEG) is located in Golgohar region, Sirjan City (Southwest of Kerman Province). GEG is one of the largest producers of iron ore and pellets in Iran because of significant iron ore deposit and modern production equipment. GEG zone is accounted as one of the most important mining and industrial hub in the Middle East. 32 GEG performing plans in 3 fazes within 2012 until 2020 are as follow in brief: A) Industrial Projects: -Construction of two concentrates plants -Construction of pelletizing plant -Construction of DRI and steel plant B) Infrastructure Projects: -Power supply -Water supply -Gas supply -Making tailing dam -Road and railway transport terminal -Explosives material production plant -Line modification and beneficiation project of production C) Cultural, Administrative, Services Projects: -Administrative site -Sport cultural complex . With fulfilling of development plans on time, GEG production of crude iron ore reaches from 12 million tons to 36 million tons. Production of iron ore concentrate reaches from 8.5 million tons to 22.5 million tons, production of pellets reaches from 5 million tons to 20 million tons, production of sponge iron 5 million tons, steel production reaches to 5 million tons and other steel productions reaches to 3 million tons by 2020.
