Global Press Institute has pioneered a new way forward for international journalism. We are preserving the training and editorial rigor of traditional media while realizing the benefits of hiring local women to investigate their own communities.
Global Press Institute has trained reporters work within local, regional and global editorial structures to ensure production of high-quality, accurate news in the Global Press Journal, which operates in more than 40 independent news bureaus across two dozen communities.
The majority of international news centers on just four topics: war, poverty, disaster and disease. Global Press Institute trains and employs women in order to diversify coverage of our world. Global Press Journal reporters have context and access to sources and stories that foreign correspondents do not.
