Ghanaian Academic and Research Network

GARNET is the National Research and Education Network (NREN) for Ghana. It aims to build an advanced network utilising Ghana's national communication backbone Infrastructure. This network will be used to support teaching, learning and research among all public and private institutions of higher education in Ghana, and connect its members to the Global Research and Education Network communities.GARNET will bring the following benefits to its members and the country as a whole:1. Contribute to inter-institutional collaboration, research and human networking between universities in Ghana and other international universities2. Create economy of scale for building and sharing high-speed networks,3. Promote linkages between the academic and research community, industry, government and other international research and educational networks.4. Promote national, regional and international collaboration
