Genesis Packaging & Design, an RR Donnelley & Sons Company, is a specialty corrugated sheet plant in the Chicago area. One of Genesis's Specialties is its preprint capabilities. Pre-print is a cost effective ways of printing for larger runs. Pre-print is another way to print using flexography, it uses photopolymer plates and can print up to 133-line screen. While pre-print may not be a solution for everyone or have the quality of an offset printed piece with film lamination, it is a cost effective solution that can be UV coated to give a similar finish. Our Wolverine Stack Press has been configured to not just print 6 colors but can be used to print 3 colors on each side in a single pass. With the capability of printing substrates up to 24pt this feature makes it great for printing signs and banners that need graphics on both sides.

Genesis Packaging & Design is the first manufacturer to install a die cutter with the ability to print both sides of the sheet in 1 pass. The new Hycorr die cutter has 3 color over 1 color capability. This allows us to print or coat the inside of the sheet as we are printing the outside; in the past this has always been an extra operation. To date we have used it for Part #’s, assembly instructions, adding a flood print and FDA approved food coatings.
