GBN was founded in June of 2011 when Alan Thompson, a local business owner, was tired of the same old networking groups. He published his idea on Meetup.com to build something new and better. The first meeting in Charleston SC had only 7 members and those 7 members grew into Hundreds. GBN became a non-profit in 2014 and created a board of active leaders in the GBN Family. Today GBN has groups located across Virginia, Texas, Oklahoma, North and South Carolina. We have 1000’s of followers on our facebook and meetup pages.
