About Gatewave
For listeners who are blind, visually impaired, or otherwise print-disabled, Gatewave Radio is a 24/7 source of information, inspiration, and greater independence. Its volunteers read articles from a wide range of newspapers and magazines, plus programming that targets the specific needs and interests of our audience. New programming is under development to engage, hear from and connect our listeners.
Gatewave can be heard in the NYC area on special radios and in hospitals and nursing homes. In other parts of the country it’s available on a dozen affiliated radio services, the web (for registered users), the mobile app iBlink Radio, and to registered users of NFB Newsline.
