G20 Global Business Challenge

The G20GBC is a global graduate case competition to design sustainable solutions that incorporate new technologies and innovative business and financing models to address a global challenge.The challenge for the 2014 G20 GBC is to develop an innovative solution to use, recycle and/or manage water to achieve large-scale beneficial impact. * Prize money: $US100,000 First Prize* Funding for finalists to travel to Brisbane as part of the lead-up to the G20 Leaders Summit.The G20GBC is a partnership between Queensland University of Technology, The University of Queensland, Griffith University and the Queensland and Federal governments. The objective of the G20GBC is to leverage the exceptional intellectual talent from the worlds’ top business schools and universities to compete to solve a major challenge. The competition is designed to challenge graduate student teams to formulate business solutions to globally relevant and contemporary ‘wicked’ problems.Importantly, the G20GBC is designed to foster cross-border and cross-discipline collaborations to create solutions that capture emerging transformative business opportunities for industries, regions and countries.
