Fremont provides a Pre-kindergarten through eighth grade education program that is student-centered and future focused.
FSD79 consists of four schools that serve a 34-square-mile area encompassing portions of Grayslake, Hawthorn Woods, Libertyville, Long Grove, Mundelein, Round Lake and Wauconda. Fremont employs 272 individuals who help educate 2,240 students. There are 158 teachers, 71 percent of whom hold a master's degree or doctorate.
The majority of Fremont students attend Mundelein High School. Of students who graduate from that high school, 96 percent go on to attend a four-year or two-year college.
