FIT CAFAA Alumni Association

The CAFAA is the Alumni Association for The Fashion Institute of Technology Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management (CFMM) program.Started in 2002, the program is one of seven advanced degree programs in FIT’s School of Graduate Studies, developed in collaboration with industry as a leadership development program for outstanding mid-career executives working in cosmetics, fragrance and beauty-related areas, including personal care. FIT's CFMM program, provides advanced education for emerging executives and has become a think tank of innovative leadership for the industry it serves. It is the only program of its kind in the United States, with product development courses held in the only working fragrance laboratory on a U.S. college campus and a prestigious Industry Advisory Board which includes senior executives, consultants, media experts, leading research and industry analysts, and heads of industry associations. With over 200 successful graduates, the Alumni Association is made up graduates from luxury firms including Chanel, Estée Lauder, LVMH, Shiseido, consumer packaged goods companies including L’Oréal, Unilever and Coty, and raw ingredient suppliers including Firmenich, IFF, Givaudan and Mane. The CAFAA Alumni Association seeks to continue the ideals of the program on which it was built, continuing to support and unite alumni to be global corporate citizens and leaders in the beauty industry. It strives to build lifelong professional and personal connections between the graduates and the College through activities and alumni events.
