First United Methodist Church of Bloomington, Indiana

Located in beautiful downtown Bloomington, First United Methodist Church is a historic church and a vital part of this community. We are a diverse group, and our four worship services on Sunday mornings are reflective of that diversity. The 10:00 a.m. sanctuary service is a classical worship experiences with a beautiful pipe organ, a full chancel choir, and the liturgical setting familiar to many who have grown up in the mainline tradition of Christian worship. Also at 11:15 a.m. we have The Open Door service, which is more contemporary in worship style and is held at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater on Kirkwood Avenue just a block or so from our church building. Along with our Sunday worship experiences, First United Methodist has a full menu of weekly and seasonal activities that include groups of all ages in our church and our community.
