First National Bank

First National Bank opened its doors in December of 1908, in what would become the Town of Altavista, in southern Campbell County. The bank operated its branches within the town limits for ninety years, until expanding north along Route 29 to the Lynchburg Regional Airport in 1998. Since then, First National Bank has grown to serve the Central Virginia region through ten area branches in Altavista, Lynchburg, Rustburg, Forest, and Amherst. As the needs of our customers have changed over time, First National Bank has evolved to meet those needs, while maintaining a distinct, community banking identity. Modern convenience features are joined by relationship banking sensibilities honed over more than a century.
