Festival Feel the Chemistry

It all started here in Geleen, 80 years ago, with the insight that we need research to develop new solutions to make people’s lives better.DSM’s decision to open the Central Laboratory in 1940, was a bright one. What started as just one laboratory, has now developed into a community of 1200 students and 2700 knowledge workers, spread over 90 different organizations at Brightlands Chemelot Campus. We learn more together and improve every day, for the benefit of people and the planet.In this rapidly changing world in which we need to safeguard a healthy population, ensure food security for a growing world population, as well as face up to climate change and take a more sustainable approach to managing our resources, fundamental research and innovation are more important and urgent than ever. In 2020, all partners on campus will celebrate our 80 years here, the chemistry that connects us and our joint positive impact during the Festival ‘Feel the Chemistry’. And we’d love to celebrate science and innovation together with you.
