Fauquier County Democratic Committee

The Fauquier County Democratic Committee (FCDC) is a part of the Democratic Party of Virginia which, in turn, is the state arm of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The DNC is the ultimate organizing, policy and political rule-making body for the Democratic Party in the United States. The modern Democratic Party was founded circa 1828. Representing the Democratic Party within Fauquier County, Virginia, the FCDC is responsible for recruiting, nominating and assisting in the election of Democrats to local offices, Virginia General Assembly, Virginia’s offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General, the upper and lower houses of the U.S. Congress, and the Offices of U.S. President and Vice President. FCDC also supports public outreach on local, state and national issues that involve and impact the community. Fauquier Democrats come from all walks of life and have viewpoints across the political spectrum but are united by one common goal, to election of Democrats. The Fauquier County Democratic Committee meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Warren Green Building, 10 Hotel Street, Warrenton, Virginia.
