The Everglades Coordinating Council (ECC) is a collective of South Florida sportsman & conservation organizations involved in a plethora of issues related to the Everglades ecosystem, from its headwaters where a newly proposed national wildlife refuge is being considered, all the way down to the reefs in the Florida Keys. ECC is a non-profit NGO whose sportsman delegates have for over four decades worked with (and occasionally against) state, federal, and county governments and other NGOs, to address crucial issues, including: ecosystem restoration (or lack thereof), natural resource policy, commonsense land and water bodies management, public recreational access to and enjoyment of federal and state lands, off-road vehicle access and use, hunting and game management, protected species management, exotic species eradication, transportation planning, land acquisition or sovereign land issues. We were working on Everglades issues before it was popular or in the limelight.
