Welcome to the EV Charging Infrastructure 2020 where leading automotive manufacturers will meet with electrical charge point developers, electrical grid operators, and city planners and policymakers, to explore and establish robust electrical infrastructure and charge points to meet the needs of a new generation of electric vehicles.In just over a decade there will be enough electric cars on the road for every person in Germany, as electric vehicle ownership is estimated to reach 100 million units globally by 2030, and with that, there will be an ever-increasing need for EV charging points to meet the demands of the e-mobility market.While charging technology has been evolving at a faster pace, electrical infrastructure development across cities has remained a challenge. The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) recently reported that at least 2.8 million electric charge points will be needed across the EU by 2030, a 20-fold increase needed to support the upcoming tide of electric vehicles over the next decade.
