The increased demand on municipalities for infrastructure and services has not been matched by incoming revenue. In many cases this has led to reduced services, if left unchecked, would ultimately lead to degeneration and urban decay. Hence the establishment of the Epping City Improvement District (ECID) received Cape Town City Council approval in July 2003 to prevent degeneration and urban decay in the Epping District. Since 2013 ERC Security has been the proud security contractor for ECID to increase safety in the District. Now ERC Monitoring is offering monitoring services on a much bigger scale in SA.
