Eastern Palliative Care (EPC) is a not-for-profit home-based palliative care service which offers a full range of support programs with the aim of improving the quality of life of individuals, carers and families of those suffering life-limiting or terminal illnesses. EPC provides specialist palliative care services free of charge in the home. EPC is the largest single provider of community based palliative care services in Victoria. Our services are provided in the Local Government areas of Boroondara, Manningham, Maroondah, Monash, Whitehorse, Knox and Yarra Ranges. We recognise that without the dedication of our volunteers and staff, EPC would not have earned such a good reputation in the community, nor would we be able to deliver such high quality specialist palliative care. We have a unique interdisciplinary model of care - nursing and allied health. Our range of services assist people in the community who are wishing to die in their place of choice and our services are available to bereaved carers following the death of the client. EPC provides various professional development opportunities for staff and volunteers through team and forum days, seminars, conferences, internal training and external courses.
