Employment and Student Entrepreneurial Services works with students, community members, and with local employers. Here is a brief breakdown of our services. Community Employment Services staff provide professional assistance to job seekers in setting career goals, returning to learning, and planning and implementing effective job search strategies. Hiring resources for employers include job posting platforms, job fairs, candidate screening, interview spaces and potential hiring incentives such as the Canada-Ontario Job Grant. We also support apprenticeships from the student and employer perspective. Career Services assists students looking for part-time, full-time, or post-graduation employment. We offer in class and one-on-one assessment tools and also host 2-3 Career Fairs each year which regularly attract 100+ employers across all industries.Career Consultants connect employers with the best candidates for their organizations. We offer an online job postings platform, on campus company promotion, as well as interviewing spaces. Our annual Career Fairs are often attended by 1,500+ students. Co-operative Education at Fanshawe College boasts over 50 co-op programs, 14 of which are accredited by CEWIL Canada (https://www.cewilcanada.ca/). Co-ops provides students the opportunity to integrate classroom learning and workplace skills while gaining real world experience and making industry connections. Co-op consultants connect employers to students and opportunities. Eligible employers may qualify for tax credits up to $3000 per term.LEAP Junction provides entrepreneurial resources to students, graduates, and faculty to prepare them for a changing economic world. Workshops, panel discussions, networking events, and one-on-one consulting are just a few of services available via Leap Junction.
