Emirates Aluminium (“EMAL”, also known as Al Taweelah Operations) is an operating subsidiary of Emirates Global Aluminium (“EGA”). The EMAL complex comprises a 1.3 million tpa smelter, a 3,100 MW power station, a large carbon plant, extensive casting operations (more than 1.8 million tpa), a water desalination plant, dock and other facilities.Premium quality, highest purity aluminum products are made in four main forms: foundry alloy for automotive applications; extrusion billet for construction, industrial, transportation and forging purposes in automotive industries; high purity aluminium for electronics and aerospace; and slab for the packaging, automotive and lithographic printing industries.The entire annual production is pre-sold each year.
