EARJ was founded in 1937 and is a private, non-profit American-day school, which has grown steadily into two campuses - Gávea and Barra da Tijuca. We are a proud international community with over 30 nationalities, the largest one in Rio de Janeiro. At EARJ we offer 3 diplomas (USA, IB & BR), innovative and athletic programs, and more than 40 extracurricular options to support our students to find their paths.
