Our quality manufacturing route begins with the starting powders that we carefully select, blend and test for purity and forming characteristics. These powders can be consolidated by a range of techniques icluding iso-static pressing, die-pressing and injection moulding. The compacted powder is machined in its chalky state using state-of-the-art CNC techniques. Compacted and machined components are then fired (sintered) at temperatures approaching 1800˚C, after which the sintered component is in its ultra-hard state and can only be machined using diamond grinding techniques.
