It then traveled to Fiuggi (Rome), Italy, Hong Kong, Chennai, India, Helsinki, Finland , Dresden, Germany and Madrid Spain. During these years increasing evidence on the potential for prevention of type 2 diabetes has been obtained, included pharmacologic treatment, and the knowledge on the prevention of complications of diabetes has been strengthened. It is now the time to take the next step with the 9th World Congress on Prevention of Diabetes and its Complications to be held in Atlanta, USA, 2 - 4, December 2016.
