He was fortunate to be able to call on the advice of his father, Alexander Ballantyne Fox who had his own personal experience of the haulage industry, having worked for R Rankin & Son and Cleveland Tankers.In the early days, David Fox worked alone, operating a van hire business and undertaking emergency express deliveries.Close family involvement is one of the features of the company, and today David Fox Transport is a family run, medium sized road haulage company specialising in the transport of steel, newsprint and chemicals throughout the UK.
